VOYAGER INSTITUTE: A new lecture series that educates, invigorates & exhilarates

Saturday, August 12 2017
05:00 PM - 06:30 PM

FREE debut session of lecture series on movies and music!

Get ready for a party of the mind; it’s The Moth, a TED talk and a variety show all in one. Created by Alamo Drafthouse programmer Bret Berg, the Institute is a new school for adults in appreciation of the arts. These concise shows are hosted by guest lecturers with a burning passion to share their (pop-)cultural obsessions.

Co-presented by Dublab, Light In The Attic Records, Slamdance, 5 Every Day and Joymode.

Debut lineup:

– “Being a Working Film Critic” Q&A panel w/ April Wolfe (LA Weekly), Jen Yamato (LA Times), Amy Nicholson (MTV News)
– “Robert Altman in the Late ‘70s” (presented by Bret Berg)

428 S. Hewitt St., Los Angeles
