  • 7:00pm – 10:00pm 'Tis the Season "dublab live" w/Mary Lattimore (Live) + Tropicaza

Join us for a special  “dublab live” to kick start the holiday season with the incredibly talented Harpist Mary Lattimore (Live) and DJ sets from Mexico City’s Tropicaza on Thursday 6th December in the central lobby at The Standard DTLA.
    21+ | Free | 7-10pm

Mary Lattimore a Los Angeles-based harpist who experiments with effects through her Lyon and Healy Concert Grand pedal harp, concocting half-structured improvisations which can include both ambient glitter and unsettling noise will be doing a live performance.

Mary has also recorded synth + harp duo projects with Elysse Thebner Miller (And the Birds Flew Overhead) and Jeff Zeigler (Slant of Light) and has co-written reimagined scores for the 1968 experimental silent film Le Revelateur, directed by Philippe Garrel (who approved of the project), and the Czech New Wave classic Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, and performed these scores live throughout the US with Jeff Zeigler and the Valerie Project, respectively. She has contributed and written harp parts for such artists as Kurt Vile, Thurston Moore, Sharon Van Etten, Meg Baird, Steve Gunn, the Clientele, Hop Along, Jarvis Cocker, Karen Elson, Ed Askew and Quilt.
There will also be a DJ set to complete the evening’s musical odyssey from Tropicaza currently on tour in the US. The Mexico City-based artist has perhaps one of the most significant and impressive collections of rhythmic music.

  • 9:00pm – 2:00pm NuTropic w/ Ohmega Watts + Tropicaza

041 – let’s stay warm on the dancefloor this Winter season with our good homie Ohmega Watts (Mellow Orange Music / Ubiquity Records). Ohmega recently relocated to SoCal, so we’re glad to have him back, rockin’ sounds without borders and his signature productions. Tropicaza will also be in town from Mexico City, as he’ll be setting the tone with his vinyl gem selections. Thanks to all who came and celebrated Día de los Muertos with us in Nov.
