    The festival was part of Deutschlandjahr 2018/19, a collaborative initiative of the Federal Foreign Office and the Goethe-Institut, with the support of the Federation of German Industries/BDI, and was presented in partnership with Dublab and Your Mom’s Agency.

    Enjoy a series of late-night broadcasts this week highlighting live sets and DJ mixes from the festival. The sets were all recorded live at The Echo/ Echoplex (Oct. 5) and at Globe Theatre (Oct. 6).

    Gabie Strong and Mike Harding appears in conversation with Australian label-owner and artist, Lawrence English, who runs Room40 and is also a practicing sound artist. As a label manager himself, Mike has a particular insight into how Lawrence combines the two challenging activities and how these roles have had to adapt to profound changes over the last ten years. Lawrence will be speaking, among other things, about Seirá, his latest work involving the Los Angeles Civil Defense System.

    En Plein Air is a monthly dublab show hosted by Matthew McDermott. This month Andrew Ryce will be taking over live from Loop Festival in Los Angeles interviewing Equiknoxx, one of the most exciting and dynamic live performers in dance music today, about their live sets and how they use Ableton and other technologies to create live dub and dancehall. He will also play some highlights from them and some of his other recent favorites that he has written about on RA.
