Far Away is a monthly party and cassette series in LA revolving around the sounds of cosmic disco, house, italo, left-field techno, and everything in between. For the monthly Dublab broadcast of Far Away, resident DJ and curator <a href=”http://dublab.com/labrat/labrat-cooper-saver/”>Cooper Saver</a> shares music reflecting the many colors of his project while inviting close friends, guests of the party, and collaborators to join in for a mix on occasion. Cooper Saver is a Los Angeles based DJ and producer. Responsible for the Far Away party and mixtape series, Cooper has brought out underrated and unique talent from overseas alongside regular local guests such as Secret Circuit, Peaking Lights, Suzanne Kraft, Lovefingers, and many others. He got his start as a music journalist in high school before spending most of his time collecting records and DJing in the LA area and abroad, but still continues to write today. Apart from music, Cooper enjoys the sunshine, skateboarding, getting lost in the mountains, and taking naps by the lake in echo park.

Jeffery Plansker – Jazz Advance
Starting from the crosshairs of 60’s hard bop, Jazz Advance moves through time and location covering off everything from contemporary Northern European Avant Guard to Brazilian Bossa Nova, Rare Groove and Cake Walks of the early 1900’s. This program draws from personal record collecting to in studio performances of local and international players. Each show finds a unique look at this ever evolving and always influential form called Jazz.
Jeffery Plansker is a commercial film director and native of Detroit. He runs the “occasional” online radio station pocketradio.org and the concept store thebloke.com. Additionally he maintains a record & DVD label called geodesic.com where the project “Beneath Detroit” is currently under way.

Daniel Troberg – Transition
Daniel Troberg lives and breathes electronic music. Started dabbling with home computers in the 80s and discovering DJing, music production started soon there after. Being charted by such luminaries as Cari Lekebusch, DJ Rok, Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink, Richie Hawtin and a slew of others, Daniels production has also taken him DJing alongside people like John Tejada, Dan Bell, Claude Young, Juan Atkins, Arthur Baker to name a few. Daniel has been involved in electronic music instrument manufacturer Elektron Music Machines since 1999 and today he runs the US division of Elektron in Los Angeles, CA.
