9/19/18 Broadcasts

  • 7:00am – 9:00am Origin Peoples – Orphic Tracks

On Orphic Tracks, the Origin Peoples label brings together 2-hours of ambient, downtempo, fourth world melodies, jazz, psych, and folk from beyond the horizon and throughout time. Sounds both new and old (as well as those forthcoming) all converge with the rising sun to charm the birds, fish and wild beasts, and to coax the trees and rocks into dance.

This month’s broadcast brings the illustrious guest Other Lands [Firecracker Recordings / Edinburgh] to oversee the second hour. Other Lands recently seen the release of his Pattern Transform EP, and is intimately involved in the forthcoming Mac-Talla Nan Creag ‘Sorrow Of Derdriu’ LP – both on Firecracker Recordings.

Bozulich is an art-punk provocateur: a writer, producer, curator, interdisciplinary artist and prolific musician with one of the most unique voices in any genre. Her work is brutally raw and weirdly visionary. In addition to her solo work, past projects include Ethyl Meatplow, Geraldine Fibbers, and Scarnella. She also performs as part of the group Evangelista. Her newest album, Quieter, is out now on the Constellation label.
