  • 7:00am – 9:00am Origin Peoples – Orphic Tracks

    On Orphic Tracks, the Origin Peoples label brings together 2-hours of ambient, downtempo, fourth world melodies, jazz, psych, and folk from beyond the horizon and throughout time. Sounds both new and old (as well as those forthcoming) all converge with the rising sun to charm the birds, fish and wild beasts, and to coax the trees and rocks into dance.

    This month’s broadcast brings the illustrious guest Other Lands [Firecracker Recordings / Edinburgh] to oversee the second hour. Other Lands recently seen the release of his Pattern Transform EP, and is intimately involved in the forthcoming Mac-Talla Nan Creag ‘Sorrow Of Derdriu’ LP – both on Firecracker Recordings.

    Kenneth Bager from Copenhagen’s Music For Dreams label brings you his weekly radio show.
    The hour long show features the latest music from around the globe in his unique balearic style.
    You will hear unreleased exclusives and a round up of the latest new releases with the odd cheeky edit thrown in for good measure.

    The man with his iconic glasses – music visionary Kenneth Bager is a pioneer, music lover, label owner, producer, a&r, remixer, record hunter and collector. Through his legendary Club Coma and subsequent stints with Danish National Radio, he has been on air for 4 decades promoting dance music. These days he also does a weekly radio show for DUBLAB, as well as running his own Station Music For Dreams Radio and the label Music for Dreams plus he runs the Festival called Apple Flower Festival together with Claus Meyer

    Hosted by Los Angeles-based DJ and journalist Chris Kissel, the monthly dublab program Contact Wave enthusiastically celebrates the best experimental, avant-garde, psychedelic, and off-the-grid music crafted in L.A. and beyond.

    This week’s episode features guest Carla Bozulich. Bozulich is an art-punk provocateur: a writer, producer, curator, interdisciplinary artist and prolific musician with one of the most unique voices in any genre. Her work is brutally raw and weirdly visionary. In addition to her solo work, past projects include Ethyl Meatplow, Geraldine Fibbers, and Scarnella. She also performs as part of the group Evangelista. Her newest album, Quieter, is out now on the Constellation label.
