The Archive of Feelings is a celebration of sounds and struggles of everyday life across linguistic and geographic boundaries gathered through serendipitous findings from around the world.

Helikonia – aka Kathy Suarez – is a Colombian born, US raised DJ currently living in LA. Living in Colombia till age 12, she grew up listening to salsa, merengue, ballenatos, and reggaeton and having since lived in the Bay Area, NYC, Barcelona, London and now LA has added to her eclectic style. She’s true to her roots, mostly playing hip shaking beats like perreo, cumbia, and baile funk, often intertwined with apocalyptic electronic sounds including distorted house and trance. No matter what, her ethos is to create a music space that keeps her and her audience dancing above all.
Helikonia is also the head of Intersessions LA, a series of artists run seminars that aim to address the significant gender and sexuality based imbalance within the music industry, offering DJ and sound focused workshops for women, and those within the LGBTQ+ spectrum.
