Altocamet – Guest DJ Set
Altocamet the band from Mar del Plata, Argentina, formed in 1995 announces US album release tour “Atrapando Rayos” their latest album produced in collaboration with Graham Sutton and Art by Andy Vella (The Cure).
Altocamet’s last 4 albums were produced with Graham Sutton (Bark Psychosis) and mastered in London by Tim Young.
In the last few years they have been sharing stage with DIIV, Wild Nothing, Julia Holter, Them Are Us Too, Cellars and in January 2017 embarked in a south American tour with The Stargazer Lilies and Pale Dian, referential bands to the dream pop and shoegaze scene, later opening for Slowdive in Buenos Aires now heading to the US to present live their new album.
In a special pit stop of the tour they’ve prepared a DJ set for DUBLAB in Los Angeles.
Where new bands and current sounds merge with historic Rock en Español songs and Electronica from Latin America.

Oliver Wang and Michael Barnes – Deep/Under/Cover
Oliver Wang and Michael Barnes dig deep into their collections to uncover two hours of the most funky, soulful and surprisingly off-beat covers they’ve ever heard.
Over the past 20+ years, Oliver Wang has written on popular music and culture for a variety of outlets, including Wax Poetics, NPR, The Village Voice and LA Weekly. He is perhaps best known as the curator of the audioblog Soul-Sides.com.
Michael Barnes began his DJ career at WRAS Atlanta/Album 88 in the mid-1990s and has had stints at WORT, KALX, KCRW and KPFK. He runs the Melting Pot audioblog (meltingpotblog.com).
Wang and Barnes first met at the tail-end of the 20th century while they were both graduate students at UC-Berkeley and DJs at KALX. In addition to their DJ and record collecting activities, both Wang and Barnes currently work in the Department of Sociology at Long Beach State.

LLLL – dublab Session
LLLL are a Tokyo-based project focused on blurring the line between intimately ethereal pop and brooding experimentalism, channeling atmospheric and sorrowful waves of sonic bliss. Originally a writer for charting Japanese pop acts, LLLL was created as a more personal project in response to the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. Since releasing their 2014 debut album Paradice on Zoom Lens, LLLL has also released on legendary netlabel Maltine Records, as well as Ryan Hemsworth’s Secret Songs.
