There are a lot of road footage music videos floating around these days, but trust David Lynch and Lykke Li to do it really well. The video induces a kind of trance with the way the lines in the road are deliberately manipulated to move across the screen, sometimes directly into the core of the viewer, sometimes diagonally intersecting and then realigning through overlaid images. This combined with the perfect plumb color pallet and the gradually setting sun, create a simple, mesmerizing accompaniment to this hypnotic track.

This song is from David Lynch’s upcoming solo album The Big Dream, due out in Europe on Sunday Best July 15th and through Sacred Bones in the U.S. on July 16th. It is a collaboration with Swedish singer-songwriter Lykke Li, who conceptualized the video with artist Daniel DeSure.
